Operation of inflatables

How to use a helium-filled inflatable?

Helium-filled blimps are so-called fixed advertisement balloons.
They can float at a maximum height of 50 meters.
A rope has to be attached to the balloon at two fixing points in order to let it up into the air.
The operation of the balloon should be supervised!
The blimp cannot be left unattended!
In case the balloon flies away, the aviation authority should be informed! (The balloon will burst and fall to the ground after it flies away.)
Do not use the balloon in strong wind and in temperatures under 5°C!
Do not let the balloon up near an electric overhead wire!
Do not leave the packed balloon in the blazing sun!

Instruction of a helium-filled balloon:

- At least 2 people are needed to fill the balloon.
- The balloon should be filled in calm weather. The place for this should be big enough to fill the balloon and let it up.
- At least 2 stable fixing points are needed. These points should be close, within 2-3 meters from each other.
- The balloon should be laid out so the valve and the deflation vent are accessible.
- Before inflating, check if the balloon is damaged.
- Tie the deflation vent with the enclosed band.
- Attach the inflation tube to the valve.
- Check the ropes and attach them to the fixing points before starting to inflate the balloon.
- One person should hold the balloon while the other inflates it.
- The balloon should be inflated moderately hard and the daily temperature changes always have to be considered.
- Always check the balloon before letting it fly. (Check valve, ropes as well.)
- Let the balloon fly to 30-50 meters height, with the 2 ropes fixed to the stable points.
- Check the wind conditions regularly during operation. In case the wind gets stronger, the balloon has to be pulled back, the deflation vent has to be opened. It is advisable to hold the vent up, this way the gas can leave the balloon faster.

Maintenance and storage of the balloon:

To clean the balloon, always use a neutral detergent and soft sponge. Sprinkle the folded balloon with talc from time to time before packing. Store it in a cool, dry place. The folded balloon should be protected from heat and sun.

Set up

- Two people are needed to inflate the balloon. Choose a clean, smooth display area.
- Unpack and lay the underlay-material on the ground. Spread out the balloon on it.
- Make sure that there are ropes in each of the nine fixing-handles.
- Check the condition of the balloon. Never inflate a damaged balloon!
- The place for the blower can be found inside the balloon through the zipp. Fix it with the Velcro. Close the zipper carefully.
- Plug in the fan unit (220V)! The balloon will inflate in a few minutes. Make sure that the fan blower always has enough air.
- Put the inflated balloon on its bottom. Attach the fixing ropes to the spikes driven into the ground. Make sure the ropes are stretched out evenly and moderately.

IMPORTANT!

- Do not inflate the balloon in strong wind!
- Handle the zippers with care!
- Always keep the water games clean!
- Use neutral detergents and sponge also used in households for cleaning! Don't use a scrubbing brush!
- You cannot store the balloon more than a week if it was folded wet! Unpack it and let it dry inflated!
- The fan-blower (built in the inflatable) is fragile! Handle it with care!
